Located on 10 acres in Central Alberta, Kaleidoscope Acres is a growing and changing dream of ours, two city folks with different ideas of life.
We moved here in 2005, the place was somewhat neglected and still isnt in award winning shape, but is considered a "work in progress".

We are both artists who grew up since childhood wanting a space for ourselves, to have different animals and to spend time on our art.

When we first moved in, the property was in terrible shape, overrun with so much grass we often couldnt see what was underneath.  We started with 4 nice Dorset wool sheep ewes, and as they ate down the grass we could see what was hidden from neglect.  We found lots of dangerous barbed wire, planks with nails sticking up, and some discarded tools.  This is a photo of our first sheep behind our house in 2005.
